When I purchased my home in 2001 from Homestead I was on time with My payment and the mortgage went up from 635. a month to 786.

because my taxes went up is what I was told by Midland Bank. So I asked for assistance and because I was not behind in my mortgage I was not eligible for a program. the Rep i spoke to told me that i would have to be behind at least three months. in order to qualify.

So I did a modification thinking I was going to get a lower rate to assist. I filed my taxes for the year and got enough funds to pay the months that I was behind. I sent Midfirst a letter with the payment asking them to cancel the modification and apply the balance to principle, to bring the mortgage payment down lower. However, Midfirst held the payment , when I called I was told to submit a letter I did twice.

I called HUD and asked How could I stop the modification , If I could sent them the money.

I told me to talk to my lender. which yielded not results.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

I didn't like: Dealing with their call center.
